Carl
"Chip" Stam
Since
the spring of 2007 I have been battling an aggressive form of
Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. The support that has come our way (from
family, friends, and strangers) has been a terrific display of
God's love and care for us. I have been journaling this experience
at CaringBridge.org.
We
are blessed - and so hopeful for a full recovery. But it has come
down to this: WE MUST FIND A STEM CELL MATCH for a transplant.
This is the best chance to eliminate the Lymphoma from my body.
Thousands
of cancer patients, including me, are depending on the willingness
of interested friends like you to register with NMDP's "BE
THE MATCH" program. Please do it today! Honestly, YOU could
save a life.

What
You Can Do
|
|
Get
a Kit
If
you are between the ages of 18 and 60 and in overall good health,
you can become a Registry member. Order a kit, swab the inside
of your cheek, and mail in the kit for tissue-typing.
|

|
Give
a Kit
If
you don't want to receive a tissue typing kit, you can still contribute!
It costs close to $100 to process a swab - a donation of $25-$100
would help other potential donors to register.

"It
was always inspirational to hear the Notre Dame Glee Club under
Chip Stam's direction. He reflects everything that is good about
Notre Dame.
"Finding
a stem cell match is critical to saving his life. I encourage those
who have thrilled to the sound of Chip's music to consider supporting
the Stam Stem Cell Drive."
